2024 Annual Report
Paris, 15 May 2025
We are pleased to share Human Dignity’s 2024 Annual Report, highlighting a year of renewed ambition to advance economic, social, and cultural rights (ESCR) and strengthen the use of Human Rights-Based Approaches (HRBA) in development and public policy.
In 2024, our work included:
🌍 Contributing to regional and international human rights processes, including the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of Côte d’Ivoire and the development of the Addendum to the Tunis Reporting Guidelines under the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights
📣 Advancing advocacy at African and UN levels, including supporting the recognition of the right to health in Côte d’Ivoire through research-based engagement
🌱 Launching a project on climate change and women’s right to health in Kenya, with a view to submission to the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights
🎓 Strengthening civil society capacity through training and tools, including contributions to OHCHR trainings and the revision of our NGO guide on engagement with the UN Committee on ESCR
🤝 Expanding partnerships with civil society, international organisations, and public institutions, including contributions to the UNDP HRBA Toolkit and collaboration with development actors
In a context marked by growing inequalities and global challenges, we remained committed to promoting rights-based approaches and supporting civil society actors in claiming and advancing human rights.
