An exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of an NGO working on human rights in Sub Saharan Africa. The Fundraising volunteer will work alongside a friendly Board and Director to bring Human Dignity to the next level.
The role involves developing Human Dignity fundraising strategy, identifying potential public donors and/or foundations and drafting proposals. You will develop links with those donors, with the aim of securing new grants for the organisation’s projects and services.
Suitable candidates will have a successful track record/ proven experience in raising funds for non profits. Experience of working in a foundation, a donor agency or an NGO in the area of fundraising is an asset.
Ability and enthusiasm are as important as formal experience. We are looking for someone who is energetic, focused and proactive, with good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. The successful applicant will be able to use their own initiative while being a good team player, with a real commitment to human rights.
