Karine holds a degree in philosophy and international relations.
She is currently stationed at CCFD-Terre Solidaire, the leading French development NGO. She works with the media in connection with the plea of CCFD-Terre Solidaire on several themes: corporate social responsibility, food sovereignty, fight against tax havens and conflict resolution.
Karine was previously employed by the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH).
Based in Nairobi, Kenya, Anita is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and holds a Master’s degree in Public International Law from the Queen Mary, University of London. She has 10 years’ experience in the human rights and governance sector and has received Advanced Human Rights training on Social Economic Rights Litigation.
Anita has passion for women and girl child rights, specifically using international and national human rights law in advancing women’s rights. She has also worked as a Programme Manager, Access to Justice at the Kenyan Section of the International Commission of Jurists, leading and designing strategies around access to justice aa well as leading efforts towards international treaty body monitoring processes.
She has conducted research for both the Truth Justice and Reconciliation Commission of Kenya and the Open Society Justice Initiative. Anita is a member of the Federation of Women Lawyers in Kenya, Law Society of Kenya and the International Commission of Jurists – Kenyan Section.
Aisha Gilani is a UK trained barrister.
Aisha's previous work experience includes working in Human Rights with NGOs and the UN in Geneva. At present, Aisha is active in the field of public diplomacy and communications.
